Abstract

in this study, boundary layer FE analyses of a mixed-mode I/II loaded crackare performed within the context of small-scale yielding conditions using the nonlinearCDM model developed in [1]. The model is implemented in the commercial FE codeABAQUS. The attention is focused on the modeling of incipient fracture and of the the firststeps of propagation.
