Experimental results from Wedge Splitting tests are performed to study fracture behavior of concrete under cyclic loading. Geometrically similar specimens with different sizes were adopted. Experiments concerned pre-cracked specimens in which a fracture process zone was present. Specimens of both normal strength and high strength concrete with sinusoidal steel fibers were adopted. Results show the strong influence of the fracture process zone size on damage accumulation, the better performance of high strength concrete and the size effect on fracture behavior of concrete under cyclic loading.
