Abstract
The fatigue crack propagation resistance in a spheroidal cast steel with a ferritic-perlitic matrix (%ferrite= 80%), considering the stress
ratio influence (R = 0.1, 0.5, 0.75), has been analysed. Tests in air at the frequency of 20 Hz were carried out. Fracture surfaces by means
of a scanning electron microscope (SEM) have been analysed. Results obtained with R=0.5 have been compared with those obtained
considering a spheroidal cast steel with a higher ferrite volume fraction (%ferrite = 90%).
