Abstract
Toughness and fatigue crack growth rate of a discontinuously reinforced aluminium marix composite
(Al.2.2Mg-35%Al2O3(p)) are determined. This composite was manufactured by a pressurless infiltration
technique (PrimexÒ ). The resulates are compared with those of ather composite, manufactured by the
squeeze casting technique, previously studied.
