Abstract
Fracture behaviour of a carbonitrided and galvanized steel used for self-tapping screws has been studied.
Tensile tests at constant load with hydrogen charging were carried out on the specimen. Hydrogen charge was carried
out by means of chatodic polarization.
After these tests, fractographic analysis was carried out in order to study the morphology of fracture surfaces.
