Standards for Creep-Fatigue Crack Initiation and Crack Growth Testing of Metallic Materials

Abstract
There is an international collaborative effort led by Electric Power Research
Institute, EPRI, USA to address an industrial need for a verified standard
accepted internationally. Such a standard will replace the currently used mostly
in house codes, those used at academic institutions and by industry.
The present paper will report on the state-of-the-art in the subject field and
current status of the draft standards for creep-fatigue crack initiation and crack
growth of metallic materials prepared for submission to ASTM E8 Committees.
