Over the years, a number of relationships have been developed to represent thewhole typical range of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) data or at least someparts of it. The simplest of these is the Paris equation [1] developed in 1963 torepresent the linear region of the fatigue crack growth curve (the dependence ofFCGR on range of the stress intensity factor (SIF)):
