Abstract

The FRacture ANalysis Code 3D / Next Generation (FRANC3D/NG or F3D/NGfor short) is designed to simulate crack growth in engineering structures where thecomponent geometry, local loading conditions, and the evolutionary crackgeometry can be arbitrarily complex. It is designed to be used as a companion toa general purpose Finite Element (FE) package. Currently, interfaces to theANSYS, ABAQUS, and NASTRAN commercial programs are supported.
